The Homeownership Alliance
The Homeownership Alliance is a community education initiative created to help individuals and families make more informed housing decisions through practical education, useful resources, and connections to knowledgeable professionals and community organizations.
Housing decisions affect far more than where someone lives. Buying a first home, maintaining the home you already own, downsizing, planning for changing needs, or deciding what comes next can influence financial security, independence, family decisions, lifestyle, and long-term plans.
The Alliance brings education, resources, and professionals together in one accessible place—helping people better understand their options and take their next steps with greater confidence.
Our Mission
To improve housing options, stability, and consumer confidence by expanding access to practical education, useful resources, and collaborative community support.
What Guides Us
Education First
People deserve the opportunity to understand their options before being asked to make important decisions.
Collaboration
Complex housing decisions can be easier to navigate when knowledgeable professionals and community organizations work together.
Transparency
Information should be communicated clearly, honestly, and without unnecessary pressure.
Individual Choice
There is no single housing solution that is right for everyone.
Community Impact
Better-informed consumers and more confident homeowners contribute to stronger communities.
Practical Solutions
Education should lead to useful next steps that people can apply to their own circumstances.
Founded by Lauren Almeida
The Homeownership Alliance was founded by Florida real estate professional Lauren Almeida after seeing firsthand how often housing questions extend beyond the real estate transaction—and how difficult it can be for consumers to find clear, practical information when they need it.
What began with homebuyer education has grown into a broader vision: bringing professionals, community resources, and practical education together to help people make better-informed decisions throughout the many stages of homeownership.
The goal is simple—to make useful housing information easier to understand, easier to access, and easier to act on.
